The Project Brief
The City Health Care Partnership (CHCP) is responsible for providing NHS services throughout the North of England.
Obesity is high on the public health agenda, with one in five men and one in four women categorised as obese. After a tender process, StyleTech were commissioned to develop a new interactive web presence which encompassed a personalised 24-week online weight management programme, taking a combined approach of supported dietary changes whilst motivating increased levels of activity.
Our Solution
The StyleTech team designed, developed and established a bespoke online programme to act as a support mechanism to empower people wanting to take control of their weight. The website was live within three months of the idea being proposed.
The programme which was developed to adhere to national guidelines engages people of all ages, gender and lifestyles and appeals to a diverse and traditionally hard to reach audience.
The commissioning NHS team were extremely pleased with the key performance indicators on the project, including an impressive increase in weight loss and online activity, with members joining on a daily basis.
The Results
Offering a bespoke online programme of this nature enabled CHCP to provide a reliable weight management programme, free of charge to the users and has proved financially competitive when compared to other existing service delivery methods.
Within six months of launch, the online programme registered a weight loss of over 4000lbs - approximately 285 stone.
As a finalist in the local SID awards, The City Health Care Partnership was able to use this opportunity to showcase this highly effective and popular weight loss tool.
