StyleTech Office Bake Off 2020

As last year's Office Bake Off went down a treat, we decided to do it again this year, although this year was a little different. We decided to do our StyleTech Bake Off virtually due to the Covid-19 global pandemic. We had 12 contestants, with 12 outstanding bakes spread across 8 weeks which ran alongside the Great British Bake Off.

Each contestant came up with an ingredient and one of our fabulous developers, designed and developed our very own StyleTech Virtual Bake Off Duck Hunt. All contestants were able to request control and 'hook a duck' over Microsoft Teams. This year's ingredients were cherry, toffee, cream, ginger, caramel, blueberries, cookie, jam, citrus, coffee, vegetable (any) and chocolate.

Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 global pandemic, the rules were a little different this year, and we could not taste any of the bakes.

Once each contestant knew their ingredient, the rules were simple, you must stick to your chosen ingredient and send a picture of your bake to the whole StyleTech Team ready to be scored. After receiving the photos, each bake was scored anonymously by everyone. Each contestant received a score out of 10 for the look, creativity and ingredient.

We had a great time scoring all the delicious looking bakes, but choosing the winners are never easy. We had a mixture of, brownies, flapjack’s, shortbreads, cakes, but this year's winners were.

We are very proud of the StyleTech team. It was great to see that not only can our team develop award-winning bespoke software solutions, but we can also bake!
